...is everyone on here going to start apologizing for all the hurtful things people have been saying to each other? I mean are we going to see entire threads dedicated to ponyfans getting emotional with each other? That would be so darn funny.

I predict it'll be more along the lines of "sure we're 10-2, but Miss St/Kansas St/Kansas/Ole Miss/Baylor/any other lower to mid tier BCS team would still whip our [deleted]"

There were a few apologies posted after the coaching announcement was made. Those days of waiting on an announcement were tough days on PF.com, and a lot of HSOs were issued.

I agree 100% that the SMU "negative first" people will not go away even if we are winning 7-9 games a year.
Hell Jerry Jones bought a horrible Dallas Cowboys team in 1989 and at the end of the 1995 season he had three Super Bowl trophies in the case. But some still thought/think "Jerry Sucks". So no matter how great the botton line there will always be those that are never going to enjoy the moment and prefer to beeech about "what if".
I do think it will be a bit easier to put up with the "negative first" crowd when we are a winner.

Hayden Fry was fired during a 7-4 season.
While I do believe there will always be something to complain about, this season has caused so much frustration with unmet expectations and the choice of a true freshman QB, that complaints are not surprising.
That said, should said true freshman catch fire, there will be a LOT less complaining around here.
I hope the light has turned on and things do get better.
We have faced the toughest defenses already though we have a lot more points yet to have scored on us this season. Lets hope we start scoring more.

Jerry Jones does suck - but it has nothing to do with the won/loss record.
He's turned the franchise into a decadent, arrogant, steaming load of over-indulged excess.

I can't wait until "we start winning too"-but we haven't had to worry about beating a Division 1A team in 684 Days-so we probably won't remember what to do.
