Future QB Question

so does anyone have any guesses on what will happen next year at qb? If BLM continues on this track for the rest of the year, would JJ be inclined to play Padron as a true freshman next year? Or do you guys think BLM is going to be a long term project he sticks with? While he's been frustrating to watch, I feel like he's shown improvement since the beginning of the season (despite the people out there who want to argue he hasn't at all). It would be nice to show some return on this investment of throwing a year away to get the guy some experience.

He is definitely the starter going into next season and has shown some flashes of greatness. With that being said he can't thro into triple coverage over the middle like he did yesterday.

On a different note nice catch by willis in the fourth over the middle in traffic- WOW

This coaching staff has to be willing to get all our top athletes on the fiels at once.

PS is sanders okay?

Also
what was with BJ? that was just weird?

BLM is the starter for the next 3 seasons. He'll be alright. He's just young. Expect the bumps in the road. See ya next year.

I don't know if he's a four-year starter or not, but he's getting better every week. Obviously, he has more improving still to do. But he's on the right track. If something were to happen to him, I'd think Coach Jones would be more inclined to go with Braden Smith or Logan Turner than another true freshman.

In the interim, however, my guess is that a quarterback - probably Mitchell - will line up and play Saturday against Tulsa, and I'm hoping he has a huge day. I'm driving up Friday night and can't wait for the game.

GO MUSTANGS!

Braden will play some next year. Maybe he will come in late after Bo throws 4 picks. And does good and gets the starting job! I think Padron may end up playing. Just like JJ benched Rolovich ( was that his name?) in favor of True Fresh Chang after 3 games

June Jones chose Bo Levi for four years.

I'd love to see Jones allow Braden and next year Padron to challenge Bo Levi, but I don't see it happening.

Just get used to the "Don't stop Bo-Levi-n" musical montage on the jumbotron. It's here for 4 years.

Why is everyone so quick to cast stones upon BLM? Is it really any big surprise to anyone that he's been having a rough go of it? Just give him and this program a little more time.

I have been impressed with Bo Levi thus far. I think he has real star quality. The problem I have is that the team looks worse in June's first year than Bennett's team last year. From the games I have seen so far this season, the defense looks completely outmatched and the offensive line doesn't look equipped to run block.

The passing game does look promising, but the truth is, if you can't run anything but draw plays, you lose short yardage productivity and defenses will play nickel and rush Bo Levi all game.

You win games with defense and BALANCED offense. So far we are lacking in both so far under Jones.

Tulsa seen to have a good balance of run and pass yardage. Might be why they are doing so well. Old coach I had one told me if you can not run the bread and butter (between the tackles) you cant win the big ones.

We start 3 freshman and a converted TE on our o-line. I don't have to be a scout to know there will be some short comings in our blocking.

If we could only catch that deep touchdown pass we seem to drop EVERY game...
