I guess its too much to ask that we could actually win?

I was actually hopeful at halftime when it was 10-10. I was starting to think that the defense had FINALLY turned around.

Alas, I was wrong.

The LOOOONG season continues. I'm nervous about Tulsa on Saturday. I wonder if we can keep them under 80 points. Of course they'll put their backups in like TCU did.

and just think, our circle of champions paid $2 million per year for this level of football.

WOW.

Defense had a great game, by our standards and they seemed to be doing great after we sustained that long drive in the first quarter. But as we kept going three and outs, our undersized defense got tired. Bad combination. I just think the offense needs to be better period. Either Bo has to take better care of the ball and be more accurate or we have to run it better. As for the D, they could be better if the offense was better.

You just need to wait. This is a rebuilding process.. 2-3 years from now we're gonna be in a bowl game. Just watch.

I think his point is that he doesn't want to wait that long. And neither do I. If Jones is that good, and his staff is that good, and he can get the guys to be that good, we won't have to.

We have to actually have a team that is good for our coaching staff to put us in a position to be good.

We've waited for 20 years, what's wrong with a couple more?

then we will pour your charred ashes on the sacred grounds of either the Poulan WeedEater Independence Bowl or the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl when we finally make a Bowl. (think I left some openings for a "smart" comeback....)

Just not in Ford. I want to be somewhere there is life after death.

Personally, I am not surprised about the defensive struggles but I expected a lot more from the offense regardless of the QB. The O is only averaging 17 pts per game outside of Texas State.

We have a frosh QB with 3 frosh linemen. I expect any offense in the country to struggle with that statistic.

Once we announced that BLM would start at QB, I fully expected us to be 1-5 at this point in the season, maybe 2-4 with Tulane, but it was away. Things will get more competitive towards the end of the season and give us some momentum going into next season.

Man............ If I had a nickel for every time I've heard those lines....... word for word, exact quotes..... I'd never have to worry about the stock market, ever again.
