Prison raped by FIU. Too bad Lewisville Hebron and Flower Mound Marcus aren't on the schedule huh? At least we aren't the worst team in DFW.

almost posted that myself.
At least they have that new stadium to look forward to. Maybe they should name it after their winningest coach since they went D1, Darrell Dickey Memorial.

When watching the SMU trainwreck, it's nice to be able to look to Denton to supply a plain crash for our viewing pleasure.

Very funny...I guess we could also include A&M in this conversation, except that the Aggies and NTSU have been to 20 bowls in the past 20 years.

Dodge is in way over his head, it would have made more sense for him to take some Big 12 OC job and work his way up to get a head job at a much better program than UNT.

Remember, N. Texas has not been Div. 1-A as long as SMU. N. Texas also is in a less visable conference and has less money to contribute to football than SMU. SMU is probably better than N. Texas this year but aren't we striving for bigger things? It is absolutely pathetic SMU has allowed the football team to sink to these lows we see today. Hiring June Jones was a big step in the right direction. We have been told SMU is now playing on an equal playing field with respect to admitting football players and accepting credit hours from junior colleges and other Div. 1 schools. We shall see if that is true with June Jones' next few recruiting classes. If I was the coach I would load up on JC players this year and next....way too many freshman and sophmores playing.

Oh and the self-proclaimed "most accurate poster on this board" said SMU would rue the day we passed on Dodge. FIU has won 3 games in 2 and a half years and 2 have been against North Texas State.

Wait - don't you remember all the fries machine operators last year who came on our board and swore that Dodge was like the second coming of Bo Schembechler or maybe Bobby Bowden?

This would be an ideal year to play that game in the Safeway parking lot. It would surely be one for the ages....
