Top 25

This is the second team we have played thus far with a top 25 status (TCU/TU). We played both teams close, TCU close for a while and should have beat TU. It gives us a false sense of progressing in the direction we should be going. TCU and TU, we all can agree are two highly overrated teams. Both had terrible offenses and TU defense was horrible. Or maybe we are closing the gap? No TU sucked and TCU is not that good. We played a better TCU team last year and should have won. Also at TU?

I seem to remember TCU being up 17-0 in the first quarter and us ultimately losing 48-7, not exactly close.

Methinks, Big Daddy is somewhat confused.

Usually a safe bet.

Yea, but they were ranked 7th. We aint that close yet. TCU and TU were both overrated, so it made us look like some improvements were made. TU was garbage. We had the better QB and the better D. The rankings are just what they are. Consistentcy creates a good team. We aint there yet.

Look at the game thread. We gave TCU 28 points. The game was a lot closer than the score. Last year it was 17-0, or something like that and the TCU team was a lot better, as well as TU being extremly better last season.

I don't think TCU is overrated, but Tech definitely is at #7. They are going to lose more than 1 before this season is over. Yesterday against the Huskers showed it.

Offense is terrible and defense is not top 25. That is the overrated I was referring to. Who have yall beat. Oh yea, you beat us. That dont count. College football dont count games played against SMU, UNT and so on.

The Huskers are a good team. TT at # 7 is solid. The way OU played on D yesterday, big 12 south champion will be either TT, or UT. TT is solid. Not many teams if any can out score them.

I doubt if even Tulsa fans think they defense is anything but poor. They had to rebuild their defense-think they only had 4 returning starters and they were porous last year. Tulsa simply tries to outgun its opposition. Very few can win that track meet at the CUSA Level. They aren't REALLY a Top 25 team. If they had to play at the Big 12 Level they would compete but probably finish about 3-5, maybe 4-4. TCU's defense is without question Top 25 and probably Top 15 quality. They are that good-week after week they hold teams to 10 First Downs or less. I think OU had 12 First Downs or less and was held to something like 50 yards rushing. They did hit some big plays. Now if you combined the TCU defense and Tulsa Offense I think you could be a real Top 15 team.
