Did you see the Stars game last night? Not a bad NHL debut for our new Swed - a hat trick

Only the third player in NHL history to do it!

Dancing with Mr. Brunnstrom...

He's been knocking
He won't leave me alone
No, no, no, he won't leave me alone

While I am not going to predict he's going to be the next Lemieux or Gretz, or say Modano or Sakic.... but, it does bode well. I think it's more of a Brad Richards type thing, his first night with the Stars he notched 5 assists.

But again, a hat trick in your first game and notching the game winner. Nice! And Modo looks amazing.

So yes I did see (most) of the game paying more attention to the debate, though, so I recorded the third period and watched it late. Hope we keep it up tonight in the STL.

Derp. Not looking good. Well, I don't know how it's looking because we have no moving pictures here in Austin for tonight's game, but I just saw we are down 4-1.

now getting housed 5-1. Great.

Btw, if anyone is going to be in town when we are playing Navy, I won't be. I'll be in Baton Rouge for LSU-UGA. So, if someone wants my two Stars tickets, lemme know. Downstairs w/ parking pass.

Not as thrilling as seeing them in the old barn (that place could get scary loud), but a great time nonetheless.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new place... but it hasn't had the mystique... maybe last years long playoff run will change that his year.

I scored tickets seven rows off the ice in college or just out of college. Invited a special lady friend. Told her to bring a sweater, she responds "it's 90 degrees out." I waited... then finally I said, "There's going to be a giant block of ice seven rows in front of us."

Solid team win for the Stars.
