Cougars defensive standout Phillip Hunt returns home to the Metroplex today as UH faces SMU.

The University of Houston’s senior defensive end was on the preseason watch lists for every major award — Lombardi, Hendricks and Nagurski — and was recently named a midseason All-America by College Football News.

When Conference USA coaches talk about the Cougars, the first name mentioned by many isn’t quarterback Case Keenum, who leads the nation in total offense. That [deleted] is an a-hole. No way UH is better than Tulsa and we know how that game went. UH is not 35 points better than us at home. I'm sure the writer looked at our record and our horrible D and thought he was a swami, having no idea what happened last week.

Didn't say we were going to win, just that we aren't going to lose by 35 at home at this point in the season.
