Jones shows no confidence in his offense at crunch time whatsover. Mckinney up the middle twice? Why is a 1-6 team playing scared and not to lose? this is like the 3rd game in which jones has refused to challenge the offense to win the game and instead turns it over to a tired defense.

The only reason the defense is tired is because they were unable to stop Houston from the beginning of the game to the end. Its been a consistent pattern all year, which is why we are near the bottom, if not at the bottom, of the defensive ratings in Division I. Hope we can get some guys who know how to tackle. Great opportunity for kids who know how to do so to play immediately!

I heard we had about 40 guys that did not dress. Its one of the advantages of being the home team you get to have more players on the sideline. Whn Serge and his backup got hurt we had no one. The 3rd stringer was eating funnel cake with his girlfriend in the f$#@ing stands.

trying to limit interceptions. it sucks but he's kept BLM from from hurting us late. unfortunately, it puts a lot of pressure on our porous defense, a gamble JJ was willing to take

Bo has progressed each and every game. When they win, it will not be only because of him. As they lose, it is not only because of him. Gotta be able to catch and you have to make a stop when you need it. He understands it is all on his shoulders, but he did not lose this game. Get off Bo!

Bo is throwing less bad passes in the game. This loss was not his fault.

BLM played well, I wasn't making an assessment of how he played, I just think JJ wanted to limit a possible interception. Why else wouldn't he have been airing it out at the end or when we were pinned back next to Houston's end zone? He played a great game...4 td's and 1 interception only until the last play of the game. Offense is becoming a big play threat most of the game.

I have to agree with this thread. These last few games have been the same lack of game closure we saw under Bennett.

We don't have the slighest clue on how to protect a lead going into the 4th and close a game out. I thought the whole point of this offense was to outscore the opponent......why is it that we go into a conservative mode in the 4th quarter. Maybe Jones is trying to protect BLM so he doesn't make a mistake and shoulder the blame.

Don't know where to even start with the defense.

The Chicago Cubs have nothing on SMU.....

I hear you. I am no doubt biased, I will admit it. I wanted badly to be able to finally tell him "great team win", but those last two minutes killed them. This would have been a huge W. I still believe we can take the last four if we play with the same intensity as the last two.

If you can't see the difference between this team and how they respond and get better every week as opposed to the PB era, you don't know football.
