Who nailed the Houston QB causing a first down after we held them on 3rd down. I would say that might have been the big change in the second half.

fleming i think. it was a dumb play, but when you are up 12 late in the 4th, you gotta win anyway.

Let Houston march up and down the field at will for the last two minutes and whine about some penalty?
the Defense has never stepped up.
The result was predictable.

That was my point. The ONE time we did stop them we had a penalty and utomatic first down.

Don't forget 2nd and 1 inside the 10 in the 4th. All we got was a FG out of that.

Don't pile on our defense. They made several big stops in the red zone tonight. That personal foul was one of several mistakes that kept us from winning.
If Wilkerson catches that pass on 3rd down, we run the clock out.

Swanny thought it was a BS call by the ref.

First off, you can't single out one play that cost us the game. If you were to try and do that, the kick out of bounds to give Houston the ball back at the end of the 4th quarter would be the first play you pick. You can't give a team like Houston a short field.
From what I saw, it was a BS call any way. The defender maybe took 1/2 step before he hit him. It was terrible. It might have been a make up call for all the personal fouls that Houston was getting.

Houston earned every Personal Foul they received.

I don't disagree at all. I thought, and may be wrong (probably am), but I thought if you got two personal fouls, you were tossed from the game. #5 on Houston had two personal fouls on kickoffs alone, but stayed in the game.

Seemed to me that we got the BS calls in the first half, and they got the
ones in the second half when everything was seriously in doubt.

The one call that really bugged me was the kick catch interference. The Houston guy CLEARLY ran into a white jersey, yet somehow, an SMU guy was flagged.
While I thought there were some questionable calls, this was obvious. And how in the hell were they able to place the ball on the 18 inch line? I thought that was terrible as well, even though I didn't think he got into the endzone.

To answer Come and Take It: You get tossed from the game for two Unsportsmanlike Conducts, not two Personal Fouls.
