SMU Mustangs Vs. Navy Midshipmen

Date: Oct. 25
Time: 3:30 p.m.
TV: CBS College Sports Network
Radio: Navy Radio Network

Navy's three-game winning streak was snapped by Pittsburgh last week, but Ken Niumatalolo's Midshipmen should not have much trouble getting back on track this weekend.

Coming to Annapolis Saturday is a Southern Methodist team that has dropped seven of eight to start the season.

SMU's passing attack has been the lone bright spot for a team that has been absolutely torn apart by opposing offenses. Freshman Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has thrown for 21 touchdowns and is ranked 20th in the country in total offense, averaging 284 yards passing per game. However, the freshman has been mistake prone, tossing 18 interceptions.

The offense has put up a respectable 25 points per game, but it's all for not as the Mustangs' defense has given up at least 27 points in every game this season.

SMU's defense is giving up 215 yards per game on the ground which does not bode well against a Navy attack that averages nearly 300 rushing yards per game.

Navy will obviously eat up a lot of clock with thier offense. We need to strike early, often and deep. We win this one.

"defense has given up at least 27 points in every game this season."

Seeing as though we are giving up 41.1 per game, the above is a real compliment.
