Agreed - and let's ban him from working in football operations while we're at it.

Why can't we throw our hat in the ring for this game? I'd love to play the Gooners. Yes we'd get drilled but what a fun game to be a part of.

What would be fun about getting destroyed and hearing Boomer Sooner 9782903812098302198309218 times?

Playing a national powerhouse instead of Collin County Community College and Texas State in nonconference. Gee your right. I'm sorry. Lets continue to play a JV schedule.

At least until we can beat another JV team.

Whatever chicken little. I'm sure you'd have "no expectations" if we actually did play Collin County Community College.

Because it's not up to us.
This is a made-for-TV event, and thus the TV networks decide who they want. The last thing they would consider is a team with our history and lack of drawing ability/national interest.

Ohhhh dickless. Aren't we special. And yes I want SMU to win. I've wanted SMU to win every game since I started following the team. I've bought season tickets, given money to the Mustang Club, driven/flown to road games, etc.
It hurts like hell when we lose, but you know what? I'm not about to go into a football game as a fan and say I don't "expect" things from my team. To do so is to be emotionally detached and weak. Being a fan of any team is 90% misery, it just so happens SMU fans have endured a remarkable amount of misery over the last 20 years. The odds are that your team is not going to go undefeated, win the conference, win the national title, etc. every year. Therefore for the vast majority of a fan's existence, we exist in misery. But it is through that misery that when your team does overcome its obstacles and achieve its goals that you understand what being a fan is all about. Its about the suffering and waiting and whining that we all do. But vaginas like you would rather throw your skirts up and half-ass it. You want to be a part of the celebration but you don't want to feel the heartache of a loss. To me, your not a fan, just an observer. Fans hurt, fans [deleted], fans whine, fans get frustrated and angry. FANS EXPECT THINGS FROM THE TEAM. But I wouldn't EXPECT someone like you to understand that.
Now go get your f'in shinebox.
