One thing is for sure....he has certainly gotten plenty of chances during his career.

Banjo has 25 tackles in last two games. Bad Stat for team for a Safety to average 12.5 tackles but I do think he is showing that he will be a fixture on the defense. Despite not stopping anybody-there are less home-runs.

It would be nice if Bailey could raise his game to demand playing time. He certainly has the physical tools to complement Banjo.

Sad when the best tackle of the game is made by your kickoff specialist (Kellis Cunningham).

That was one bad [deleted] tackle...he put that runner on his butt big time. We need to make him a linebacker. He can still do kickoffs when he is not busy kicking butt. :)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Maybe so. OR, maybe he can teach his teammates how to tackle with their body, vs. the lazy arm-tackling our D does now?

BTW in addition to Mitchell and in addition to Memphis playing their 3/4 string QB there was another very significant injury that no body has mentioned. Memphis RB Curtis Steele who was dominating the SMU defense pulled a hamstring early in the 2nd Half. Steele already had 123 yards. SMU still couldn't stop Memphis' Gray team from Memphis' Blue/Gray spring scrimmage.

If I hear one more stat on career KORs I will barf. This is nothing to brag about. Now career average yards per return or returns for TD, now you are talking. All the rest is, is a testament to how bad our teams have been over the last few years.

I enjoyed the hoopla a few years ago when our punter set the record for most career punts. That is another one that does not bode well for the team.
