Let's see everybody's Top 5
1. Texas Tech
2. Alabama
3. Texas
4. Florida
5. Oklahoma
6. an outstanding USC team which I know could beat all of the above but in fact doesn't desrve to be ranked above them because of their loss. OU is probably the best 5th ranked team in years but hey they lost to Texas on a neutral site by 10 so they have to prove it. I'd probably pick OU to beat Tech in Norman.

1) Alabama (until Florida beats them)
2) TTech *** (until OU beats them)
3) Florida (best 1 loss team for the moment)
4) Texas (because they beat OU)
5) Oklahoma (because Big XII is tougher than PAC 10)
I've got USC & Penn State on the outside looking in. USC is a good 1 loss team, but wasn't good enough to beat Oregon State. The Beavers could still win the PAC 10 and they were whipped by Penn State and lost to Utah. Penn State might still be the best the Big 10 has to offer, but it ain't enough. Go Michigan State (Mrs CP's alma mater)
Can't find much love for Utah (the best of the non-BCS unbeatens). Their schedule was VERY favorable with OSU, TCU, Air Force & BYU games all at home. That road win at Michigan, albeit sweet at the time, is tarnished.
*** And I've got to give Tech three ***. Although they are playing very well right now and any team that goes unbeaten in the Big XII this year is certainly deserving of a spot in the national championship game...but I'm going to have to root aginst them. That program needs to grow some 'nads and actually play someone in their non-conference schedule.

Biggest problem is figuring out how USC and Penn State might stack up against SEC and Big 12 teams and justify their national rankings. I think both have the defenses to compete with and match most of the other top teams this year; however, neither have offenses that can come even competitively close to having fire power of LSU, Alabama, Florida, Texas, TT, Oklahoma, Mizzo and a number of other top teams. The Big 10 teams in particular would be extremely hard pressed to handle wide open passing attacks which do not exist in that conference.

Although I have UF at 4, I am extremely confident that they will be playing in Miami for the National Championship against OU/UT/TTU. People talk about how good TTU's offense is, I hope y'all have taken notice of how explosive the Gators O is. They have scored over 40 points the past four games and show no signs of slowing down. Watch out Big XII champion.
