I asked this in another thread and it got buried. He has not played in several games and I could not find him on the sideline last week. Is he still around. I would assume he plays in place of Smart if he is still on the team.
Someone with inside knowledge please.

I think he's been moved to another position. So I'm not sure. He hasn't even participated in 5-6 games. You know he played OLB/DE at Oklahoma St-and he was much lighter and faster-like 30 pounds or so. Its possible they move him back in a pinch but I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Moczygemba starts. Good question.

Unfortunately the biggest head case to come out of Hebron football. Really like the kid and he is a talented athlete, but kid has never gotten it together mentally.

Bottom Line is... He is not playing.
I wish him well in what he puts his mind to do. Given that is is ethical and moral.

No, Insane is about right. Odiari is a very difficult athlete. He is almost never prepared for practice in terms of knowing the plays and knowing what to do on the field. I don't know how he managed to play at Oklahoma State but he is just not the brightest.

That's too bad to hear. I guess despite having great ability playing football isnt it for him.

He has been practicing at defensive end.

some of that confusion may have something to do with the fact that SMU tried to move him to a new position at which he had never played before in 3 weeks w/o spring practice and a 2 year lay-off from football and gaining 30 pounds.

Are you saying he does not have the ability to remember the plays or that he makes no attempt?

Not really sure which it is but he needs to step his game up. If anything I would say he doesn't have the capacity to remember the plays but then how the hell did he get anything done at OSU...I don't know. He's known to be not a very smart guy who has no problem flaunting that about himself and is rather obnoxious.

yet I believe he made the All-Academic Big 12 Freshman team
A first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection; Freshman (2005 at Oklahoma State):
