All Hopes Dashed

I think it is a particularly tragic season because of all the hype and expectations generated by the Jones hiring. We all felt that finally, SMU was going to do something right! I remember being at the opening game with Rice and how excited BUS and I were at SMU jumping out to a 13 -0 lead. Truly we felt, we had turned the corner! Then the bottom fell out of course. After the next week's game with Texas State most of us felt we had lost that game even though we were ahead on the score.
Yes, it has been a tragic season becaus of the early excitement. I am not giving up on Jones. Just sadly disappointed in his first year. We all expected more than what we got.
(I know. We have one game left. Maybe a miracle can happen and we win. I won't be there however. It's Thanksgiving and having to drive 800 miles round trip and with the expense to see us quite probably end the season with another gut-wrenching loss..well you all have my proxie to yell for the Ponies) See ya next September on the BLVD.
