OU loses to OSU, Tech plays B12 Champ game vs Missouri.

USC is #2 but can't play against Bama/Fla winner b/c didn't win their own confernce. Texas is #3

Tech at #4 plays #1 for National Champ game.

I don't see how UT can be ranked below OU when they beat OU and they both have one loss.....and UT's loss was in the last second of the game to the #2 team in the country at that time??

My guess is that the OU-Texas game was 1.5 months ago, so that was then this is now and has the saying goes if you're going to lose in college football, lose early so you have time to make up for this loss and OU did just that, by cruising past Tech and routing A&M, beating a then ranked KU team and getting mad style points in all those games....plus, OU destroyed a Tech team that Texas couldn't beat, and Texas has kind of been under the radar all this time...PLUS, Flordia vaults to #2 so they can set up a hyped #1 v. #2 SEC championship game. Flordia beats a D1-AA school and jumps to #2, but OU cruises past the then #2 team and is ranked third? None of this makes any sense but it is what is today and will no doubt change over the next couple of weeks.

Head to Head ought to be the most important factor. Style points count in the BCS-don't let Johnny-Don't-Run-Up-The-Score-DoRight tell you otherwise. Its the reason SMU fans appeared Pollyannaish when complaining about the same thing done by Tech that was done to them last nite. In fact style points will likely cut UT out of the picture-and Mack Brown is one of the few that never runs it up unnecessarily. Stop crying-or support a change-as long as a team is playing for all the marbles WITHOUT a playoff its perfectly legitimate. That's the [deleted] BEAUTY PAGEANT system we have.

if if that happened USC being 2 would allow them to play for the title
