so what's the story on 4th year scholarship players who have another-redshirt-year remaining:

Rock Dennis
Mitch Enright
Justin Willis
Mario Walker
Chris Parham
Adrian Dizer

Issue arose on one of the recruiting sites suggesting that Rock Dennis alledgedly lost an appeal on his hardship year from his broken shoulder last year. Doesn't seem to make sense since Rock was reportedly a "3 to play 2" recruit and was clearly injured August 15, 2007 with a broken shoulder and was out after surgery for the year. If the above information which was released by the university was correct, Rock clearly would be eligible for either a redshirt or a hardship but reportedly will play his last game this weekend. How many of the above also will be playing their last game? More tear down to the foundation? Its not real funny but that was the Class in which EVERY RECRUIT was redshirted except Columbus Givens and Patrick Handy. Will any actually get their redshirt year back? Surely Emanuel Sanders will be back-right? Enright should. Others I'm not so sure. An entire Class of 20 redshirted freshman essentially gone-poof.

This shouldnt be an issue. He didnt play the entire season, so there was never any need to apply for a hardship. If he hasnt redshirted before, he can take an ordinary redshirt year.

Sidenote that I dont think most people noticed: Mitch Enright was eligible for a hardship year, until he came back and played late in the Memphis game. When I saw him dressed out and on the sideline, I thought it was a terrible waste of a year of eligibility. I know our other center struggled, but bringing Enright back really didnt make any change in the game.

Sounds to me like June is clearing the way for one of the two new center recruits (Fontana or Hughes) to start next year.

Hughes will be playing tackle, and Enright will be back.

Hope Dizer is back - he showed a few flashes this season of what can be done with that huge frame and that athleticism. More than anything, whether he plays or doesn't ever suit up again, hope he returns to full health.

In the post game interview, Willis said he would definitely be back next year.

Rock Dennis was announced with the seniors yesterday, so unfortunately, I believe his player days are behind him.

On a side note, when they flashed his profile up on the jumbo-tron, it listed him as a junior. That was likely put together at the beginning of the year, maybe when they thought he would get his redshirt.
