That first TD by UT was not a TD. What a crock.

For whatever reason, I've found myself pulling for UT over the last few years. I think Mack Brown is the best HC in college football....and it is very hard not to like Colt McCoy. Their football program is everything we wish we could be, but never will. btw, Sergio Kindle is a bad as$,...and I love erin andrews.

Little Kindle trivia for you - His HS was Woodrow Wilson one of only two HS to have two Heisman winners

Actually, it's the only PUBLIC HS to have 2 Heisman trophy winners. The other HS is a private school.

I was out of the room for a moment...what did Craig James say about Lance McIlhenny during the UT/A&M game?

He doesn't know enough about college football to have a vote

Um, I am here in Austin and nobody denies they lost to Tech. Just like OU does not mention their loss to UT but pumps their blow out of Tech.

I can't stand A&M, but I hope the goofy little Aggies make ground beef out of the orange Cows, and then OSU blows them out next week.

Mack Brown is a great head coach? Uh ... no. Brilliant recruiter, but how many teams has he had with rosters sprinkled with future NFL players? And his national championship year in Austin was the first time he won a conference title?

Otherworldly recruiter, and has the re$ource$ to surround himself with a fantastic staff, but he is anything but a great head coach.

Go (I can't believe I'm writing this) Aggies.

Just a differing of opinion. The guy gets it. He always says the right things, his players love him and he wins. Mack may not be the greatest gameday coach but like you said, he is a brilliant recruiter...and that is the most important part of being a great college coach, IMO. Also, he surrounds himself with great coordinators. That may not be your definition of a great coach but I bet there isn't a school in the country who wouldn't want him.

LA,

You just described one of the NCAA’s all-time greats…Barry Switzer

Absolutely - but even if he didn't know the difference between a first down and the First Amendment, the talent alone he would lure to another school would make virtually every team in the country better ... especially if he hires his traditionally stellar staff of assistant coaches. But put me in the group that thinks he's a gameday bonehead ... which further underscores his ability to recruit the most NFL-ready roster in the NFL (fill in "police blotter-ready, too" joke here).
