there is a 99.9% chance that Ohio St. gets that bid. I'd pick Boise.

Here's a link to the bcs eligibility requirements. Tough read in some cases but pretty interesting.
http://www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/eligibility
It appears to me that this year there would be at least 7 possibly 8 automatic bids with Utah getting the 7th and possibly a #3 ranked team like UT (if OU goes on to win the tie breaks and Big 12 championship) or Alabama (if they lose to UF in the SEC champ. game) getting the 8th auto bid.
I'd hate to see a 2 loss team get into the BCS over Boise, but it looks like the provisions actually state that the bowls are allowed to select at large teams based on the best financial outcome.

An absolute travesty that BSU would not be selected. They had one close game this season.
I think there is no doubt they would play ohio st competively and most probably beat em.
Considering they beat OU a few years ago they ought to be a good television draw.

it'll suck if the sugar bowl selects OSU only because of what happened to UH last year

I'd love to see Utah vs Boise in the Fiesta but Ohio State will produce higher ratings, so I expect Ohio State to get a BCS game and Boise to play one more on the blue field

Stallion and I agree on Boise, I would pick em as well. Of course that will never happen.
From what I have seen of BSU they are impressive and they deserve a shot.
However, its not competition and worthiness that count. Its about money.
Gigantic state schools will always win over smaller state schools and privates. Interestingly enough though it looked as if Boise brought a lot of people to the Fiesta Bowl a couple of years ago.
Boise vs Frogs ought to be a good game if they both end up in Poinsettia.
