Oh, yeah. UT gets burned so the rules have to change.
There's your political power I spoke of. As long as it was Cal or somebody else, just deal with it. Now expect lawsuits from Austin. DeLoss is on the hook now.

We say the same thing every year about the BCS, and they'll try to tweak it some more, but nothing really changes significantly!
Texas at least has a chance if Mizzou upsets OK.
So much for a playoff over a poll!
BTW The Big 12 is more at fault then the BCS in this case as they set the tie-breaker criteria!

No, you do not. Had Texas lost to OU, I would say they earned it.

How do argue against Texas beating OU by 10 on a neutral field??
BCS will crumble. As long as it was Utah, BYU, TCU or Boise getting hosed no one cared-but now that mighty Texas got screwed here come the lawyers.

So what happens with an impressive win by Forida over Alabama and an OU loss to Missouri or narrow win over Missouri? Does Florida leap to #2?
I have no dog in this hunt so it is kind of fun to watch.

I just realized that if Mizzou upsets OK in Big 12 championship then Texas will not be the Conference Champion and USC (assuming they beat UCLA next week) will be the Pac-10 champion so...
If Mizzou does pull off the upset will the pollsters put a non-conference champion over a conference champion if they both have one loss?
Not likely but more BCS BS to consider!

I personally would have loved to see Baylor hold off tech, OU get ranked higher but also get left out of big 12 championship game, and then texas not jump back ahead as big 12 champ. Talk about the DEMISE of the BCS!!!

If the sips had scheduled some tougher out of conference teams they would have been in there instead of OU. This is the fault of the almight DeLoss - as in you just deloss your chance to win a second recent nat'l championship because you try to stack the deck with patsies.
Texas can complain when they get a backbone and schedule good out of conference teams.
