They beat Texas, have only one loss and it is to the second ranked team in the nation, and yet they are 4 spots behind the longhorns in the BCS rankings.

I bet you will see the Big 12 switch to the SEC and ACC version of the rule, though it is unlikely to be used again any time soon!
