Mrydel was right near by (without jt anywhere in sight to steal his seat, btw), it was a fantastic time.
Walkin' to the stadium, mixed-adult-beverage in hand, I openly wondered aloud how I could have as much fun inside the stadium... that's when non-contributing-Ausint-based-"CV" (we'll call him) suggested we sit with BUS. Yes. Grand time.
At the half we scammed a parking enforcement dude in one of those off site parking lot "valet" open air van/people transporters (think elongated golf cart) to take us back to the BUS truck (thank you Mrs. BUS for your quick thinking), and once there we poured a couple..... yum... and hung out. Then, I scammed us a ride back (thanks to BUS for flagging over the poor unsuspecting SMU worker in the pickup). Ahh, yes... life was good.
Then the second half happened. Let's just leave it at that.
And I will leave it at this.... sitting with Mr. and Mrs. BUS provided some of my happiest memories in years at SMU football. We are lucky to have BUS and Mrs. BUS as fans...............
It being their anniversary I was aloud into a little secret, and I hope it's not too much of a secret to go on this board (BUS feel free to slap me silly if I am out of line for 'exposing' this).... but it was in their wedding vows that Mrs. BUS was to be on campus with BUS, rooting her heart out for the 'Stangs, 6 Saturdays every year.... oh, and he had special provisions for Bowl Games --- ahh Bus, the eternal optimist
Anyway, it was great. Thanks BUS and Mrs. BUS.... and, 'Geebus', the fedora looked great!
