With two picks in his last game, Mitchell has the record for the most ints in a season.

If this has already be mentioned, sorry.

Darn,

Just think if one more of those defensive lineman had held on to a screen pass that Bo likes to throw right to them, the record woulda been all his.

Always next year!

After the Henderson record..got me to thinking...which punter holds the record for most punts in a season? Long Live Ken Rosenthal.

81 punts in 1971, McLarty?

54 punts in 08

Without the fumbles and ints we might have gotten close.

If BLM plays for 4 years maybe he will beat timmy changs all time int record. Chang had 19 his true freshman year.

After the Tech game, I inquired what the INT season record was, and got blasted for even considering such a thing  With many people saying BLM would get better, going through growing pains, etc.

This is it in a nutshell... BLM Sux. We will never have a winning season with this guy as our QB. It would be ok if he was a gunslinger that made great plays and in the process threw a few too many Int's (like Bret Farve). Unfortunately he just doesn't have the skills and football IQ to be a winner. JJ made a mistake on this guy he needs to admit he was wrong and make a change.

BOTTOMLINE: June Jones made the mistake because BLM obviously was not ready for Division 1A Football but for once can we stop throwing our underclass QBs under the bus and run them out the door because they didn't take us to the Rose Bowl in their first year. Can we please have one year when we start a Senior 3 or 4 year letterman at QB. See what the successful teams are doing in developing their QBs-recruit quality QBs each year, let them learn the system and develop them UNTIL they are ready to play. Upperclass experienced QBs make a difference see Tech's Harrell, UT's McCoy, Rice's Clement, Tulsa's Johnson-all are significantly better as experienced upperclassman-(they ALL REDSHIRTED as Freshman as did Sam Bradford btw exposing the lie that QBs can't learn standing on the sidelines as TOTAL BS). I'm not sure if Mitchell is the QB-I'm pretty sure the others aren't. Hopefully, we will recruit at least 1 outstanding QB prospect every year and we'll see after competition. Hopefully Jones will do a lot better than Phil Bennett in identifying and signing Top QB talent-Phil Bennett couldn't identify them or recruit them with the excetion of Willis in mind. I was shaking my head about just about every QB Bennett brought in here.

Well said Stallion. You are right on point.

I agree with Stallion. It seems like some people are being awfully [deleted] a true freshman QB who had never taken a D-1A snap before this season, played behind a weak offensive line, and who Ds knew was going to throw on every down because we had no running game. If our O line gets better, our running game gets better, BLM gets a year or two of experience, and he's still throwing 23 picks a season. . . then we've got a legitimate problem. However, I am confident that June Jones knows more about QB talent evaluation than any of us do.
