WHo are you all hoping we play? I want a really bad sun belt team. Or another 1-AA team. Next year we will not be ready for a far superior team such as Iowa State or Washington State.

If we just have to play a 1-A team lets play one of these teams ranked from 100-120 (we lost to 2 of them this year) so we have a slight chance
Getting an extra win would do a lot more for us than getting blown out.

After reviewing the list. my vote goes to western kentucky. And they are independent correct? Maybe we can schedule them!

look around for schools with an open date...won't find many at this late date. Road trip to Hawaii? There could be others trying to get out of arrangements made years ago, so who knows. This is a great opportunity for SMU to schedule someone we might be able to compete with...hopefully someone of local interest who would draw some fans.
UNT would be a nice addition. A road game to Hawaii would allow both.

I'm sorry some of you just don't get it. SMU must play a team that they can hopefully BEAT AND can attract a decent crowd. How long do you people think this school can put up with attendance of 6,000 fans or PAID Attendance for CUSA games of 13,000. NTSU best fits the standard if its a home game. If Hawaii wants to compensate us for playing a 13th game in Hawaii which would likely attract a national TV audience then they should be an alternative too. Otherwise, we shouldn't play Hawaii.

Winnable? They wouldn't blow us out (if we continue to improve) - they're ranked 109th this year by the poll listed
