Rice will head to Reliant for Texas Bowl

Taylor Wardlow and the Owls helped their bowl case by winning the Bayou Bucket from UH.

The nine-win Rice Owls won't travel far for their bowl. They'll be in the Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium on Dec. 30 and are waiting to see who they will play.

An opponent for the Owls won't be known until this weekend's slate of games is complete. NFL Network is set to carry the game, which starts at 7 p.m.
