It would be a rematch of the inaugural Fort Worth Bowl, where TCU was ahead much of the game, and Boise State won it down the stretch. It was actually a very competitive game, and fun to watch.
That was actually the game where I really lost a lot of respect for TCU. Their players were running their shoulders into the Boise State players when walking off the field, jawing way too much after ineffective plays, and basically just acting like they were better than the Broncos.

This is the first time I've heard any negative comments about that game. I was there and certainly don't remember an excessive amount of trash talk or bad blood between players or fans. It was a great game that came down to a last second missed FG by TCU.

Probably because the Boise State players simply walked away from the TCU players, so the situation didn't boil over. Very classy of them, I might add At the start of the game, the wife and I were pulling for TCU, but by the end of it, we were rooting for Boise St.
I will say that I thought it was one of the more competitive games in the bowl season that year.

Maybe so - I just don't recall anything in the papers or media about any negative comments or actions during or after the game.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't like a huge blowup or anything, and obviously it didn't draw any flags (as SMU's flare-up did this past weekend). I was just disappointed in the handful of the players that were being a little too "spirited".
