Boy, UT must really be PO'ed about the TTU win over UT to send in the Feds. Sorry, just couldn't resist throwing out a conspiracy theory.

Love this quote:

Coach Mike Leach was out of town and couldn't immediately be reached on his cell phone.

Wonder which AD's office he was sitting in during the arrest.

for all of the kids that read the board.....

if you are a potential first round draft pick, and you know your roommate is dealing cocaine or think that he may be dealing cocaine, find a new apartment/roommate/etc.

that being said i know journalist love to throw people into the story to get the OMG reaction, so i am not blaming crabtree for anything... but if i was in his shoes (which i'm not) I would tell my roommate to get the **** out of the house. he has wayyyyyyy to much at stake... plus it looks bad when the DEA is searching your house

I would too but pay attention to the following except:

According to The Associated Press, indictment alleges Sanders and others "known and unknown to the grand jury" committed the offenses in June in Lea County, N.M., where Sanders' hometown of Hobbs is located.

Crabtree lived in the apartment where he was busted. Be careful of indicting innocent people for the sins of others living with them. For if we did wouldn't that also be an indictment of all the fraternity brothers who lived at the Beta house circa 1980. And if that's an indictment of an entire fraternity on campus, isn't that also an indictment of our entire American educational system. Gentlemen, I'm not going to sit here and let them cut down the United States of America.

Wasnt he busted "downtown" in Lubbock, not that there really is a down town. Which would not be at his house, come on mr accurate read the article

This article never says he committed a crime in Lubbock, rather it says he was arrested by the DEA in Lubbock-there may be additional facts I'm not aware of but this article says he "committed the offenses in June in Lea County, N.M., where Sanders' hometown of Hobbs is located." They did search his apartment but he was apparently "busted downtown"(and we all know how painful that can be)

depends what you're into...

back to my point. i would not have anyone around me with questionable behavior... how many guys in the Beta house had a $5 million signing bonus waiting for them? the fact is crabtree has a lot more to lose then a reserve db (who has one more tackle then kelis cunningham). im not trying to say crabtree is at fault for any of this, but if he knew what his roommate was doing, then he knew there was a chance his name would end up on espn regardless of his participation...
