BCS Declares Germany Winner of WWII

Postby MrMustang1965 » Thu Dec 04, 2008 5:49 pm

US Ranked 4th

AP - After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.
“Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work–including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule–our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking.â€

France #2 my @ss. Please. They rolled over to Germany. They probably didn't even have to wash their uniforms afterwards.

That's true. But still, it was at home.

Germany had an unfair advantage by drawing partial qualifiers from Italy. Mussolini wanted to side with the US but we could not get him on our side due to the uneven fighting field.

That is awesome.

But are we seriously considering the Netherlands as improving their strength of schedule? It is hard to run when you are leaving a coffee shop and wearing wooden shoes!

WP: Wouldn't those games against Sweden & Switzerland be considered 'forfeits' and, therefore, go in the 'W' column for the Germans?

It just shows how ridiculous the BCS-BS is!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Absolutely not. There were never, ever any German boots on Swedish soil. The Germans never controlled a single square foot of Swedish or Swiss territory, so they cannot be declared the "winners". That would be like declaring Alabama the victors over Boise, since they didnt actually play we can just declare Bama the winner. Oh wait............. that's why the BCS was created in the first place.....

Actually since Switzerland and Sweden are not ranked, BCS automatically gives a win to #1 and #2 in order to ensure they play each other in the Grand Finale.

Sorry Swiss and Swedes, but with your smaller alumni and fan base, you won't receive funds from the League of Nations.

For the Swiss, you only get to hold the BCS revenue until it can be distributed to the top two alliances, i.e. Axis and Allies.

For the Swedes, you can help get with the medics and sneak those cut from the Axis squads onto your campus.
