ESPN 2 at 11:00 am, Tulsa vs ECU.
From the Tulsa board, they are "hoping" for 20,000 today. That has got to be very disappointing, for a team that has built a solid program, that scores in the bunches, and is the ONLY game in town.

Man, thats a cruddy start time, and on the duece to boot. My hangover won't even have subsided by then. Guess that is about as good as a non BCS conference title game can expect.
At least we have our Basketball Tourney Championship on CBS, which is a rare treat for a Non BCS conference.

not a bad turnout for an 11am start time and right in the middle of finals... how many people do you think would be at ford if we were playing?

Not going to get in a chicken fight here, but, with a population of 400,000, the only stinkin' game in town, the success of their nationaly ranked team, established program, a beautiful day, the # 2 offense in the Nation, a stadium that only holds around 28,000, they should have a full house in a championship game. I would hope, if SMU has the same success someday, we could get a full house, don't you?

when SMU gets 15,000 at the games consistently then we can talk. Ford only holds 32,000 so there is no reason we shouldnt sell out every week considering Dallas has 3X the population of Tulsa and texas is football holy land. not to mention SMU has 3X as many students as tulsa... hell we can't even sell out when TEXAS TECH is in town and Dallas is the top city for their alumni.
i would love to see how many sun dresses and popped collars would show up to an 11 am football game during the middle of finals...

Put the water bong down, I am talking about the CURRENT state of the Tulsa program. This thread was started, from the disappointment the Tulsa fans were expressing on their board.

If SMU fielded a good enough football team to host the CUSA Championship game, I'd like to think there would be 20-25k interested fans in the DFW area. While Ford probably would not sell out, I'd like to think we'd have enough in attendance to make it appear there is at least some interest in SMU football.
I think Tulsa fans are making a pretty good showing

neither the use of a hookah or vaporizer are illegal... neither is smoking flavored tobacco, so i'm covered... and if you refer to the around the hilltop page, i say no to tobacco anyways

my body is a temple...
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

I guess being on the side lines with coach Johnson forgot to learn to look off the safety. Now 3ints and a fumble.

4th INT after blowing TWO timeouts without running a play. This is a DISASTER out there for Tulsa
