good question, i think texas and OU continue to be tight in the human polls, though OU will gain a lead and take #1 in the BCS. Florida takes 2 as a result of the human polls and then Texas remains at three despite holding on to #2 in the computer rankings.

SMU-UNT National Championship game

heres what bothers me

Florida will play in the national championship and lost to ole miss AT HOME (1 point)
OU lost to Texas NEUTRAL SITE (double digit)
Texas lost Texas Tech AT TECH (last play of the game)
Alabama loses to Florida NEUTRAL SITE (close game)
USC loses to OSU AT OSU(close game)
Texas Tech loses to OU AT OU (blow out)

so if Florida goes to the NC (which they will) the voters and the computers are telling everyone that Florida losing at home to Ole Miss then winning out is better then UT's schedule and last second loss to Tech... Texas played a tough stretch of games which were closer then any of OU's games, and Texas only big "Road" win was against OU. i also think USC deserves a shot at the NC if florida does. USC lost at OSU while florida lost at home to OLe miss. sure the pac-10 sucks and they don't have conference championship but they are still deserving IMO. Sure you can argue USC should have a tougher OOC schedule, but its not there fault that Ohio state turned out to be a bust... and based on the computer system it wouldnt matter what they did in september anyways.

after all of that rambling. i dont care either way. all of the schools will have an excuse or theory why they should be in the big game. its time for a playoff system.

Based on computer rankings Florida should play Alabama again for the title.

So, you have really done your homework. I hope you realize that the computer inputs to the BCS ranked them 3 and 6 last week. OU and Texas were 1 and 2

I just hope the Orange Bowl is as competitive a game as the Alabama/Florida game was today

I am guessing you mean the National Championship game, not the Orange Bowl.

FLAW ~ Would the OU loss to Texas by 10 points be a "close game" if you consider the loss of BAMA to Florida a "close game"?
