Got the chance to be at the lighting of the campus/Dallas Hall this past Sunday with a couple of friends from Navasota who have a daughter that is a freshman at SMU. Watched the activities and people with my 2 year old before the event, and was amazed how this thing has grown from 1977.

In tow with the daughter were a couple of her girl-friends, and one Bo Levi Mitchell. He was personable, looked you square in the eye...seemed like a good kid. Talked a bit about the Cowboy collapse and other mundane topics, and I asked him about what he had learned this year. He said he is looking forward to next year, now that the system makes more sense to him and the team at large. I hope he is right, and he/we will come back to work this spring with an eye to eliminating turnovers and making tackles.

BTW, if this post is deleted as being not sufficiently football related, I'm OK with it...the campus looked great Sunday evening, and brought back some good memories.

"with an eye to eliminating turnovers and making tackles."

Didn't you mean missing Tackles since he threw 3 Ints to Defensive Lineman?

and if he is working on eliminating turnovers why would he worry about making tackles?

don't think that was his intent, Stallion, but that thought did occur to me later as I was headed back south...I got the impression that he realized work was needed on both sides of the ball.

BTW, BLM seemed roughly the height/weight of Lance by comparison...after 30+ years I could be wrong, but seemed similar.
