you know Boomer kinda faded in that game just like they did against Texas. I thought in the 2nd Quarter they were getting it together. I really don't think Stoops lost the game but either he or a player(s) made two mistakes before halftime that cost at least 3 points that became very important as Florida had a 10 point lead late in the game.

First, someone on OU's team called OU's timeout with :10 seconds after getting a first down inside the 10. The Clock would have stopped automatically. It was unnecessary and the time out should have been saved. (see Below)
Second, in what would have been really embarrassing, if the ball hadn't been intercepted, either the OU Coaches or Bradford made a mistake by failing to throw the ball into the endzone on the pass play. Even if that ball had been caught by OU he would have been tackled at the 1 yard line and time would have run out without getting a FG. OU had just burned their last time out(see above). Ball should have been thrown into the endzone so you either get a TD or stoppage of clock on incompletion. They had a timeout to discuss that.

It all worked out just right.

Sooners go to Big 12 Championship and BCS Championship instead of Donghorns.

Sooners lose to Florida, ending Texas' hopes of getting a piece of the national title.

I'm happy! :D

Don't forget in the last 49 seconds before the half that OU completed 2 substantial gain side line passes that were many yards beyond the 1st down markers. The receivers in each case fought for extra yardage staying in bounds and failing to stop the clock. In both situations the clock was started after the ball was spotted and OU lost roughly 20 seconds of clock time. The lost 20 seconds forced them to use their 2 time outs at the wrong time to merely stop the clock. These time outs were not available when they needed them to get settled down and think out the last 2 critical plays at the half. I blame the receivers for not getting out of bounds, stopping the clock and giving the team and coaching staff a few more unpressured critical seconds of break and strategy time let alone an additional 20 seconds of game clock. A critical score before half potientially would have had a major impact on decisions and strategy in the second half.
