Dallas appears starved for college football ...

... just not SMU's brand.

Baylor and Tech may have a deal soon. A&M and Arkansas play here starting this fall. Then there's the annual Texas-OU affair.

To lose one's home town to outsiders is not an encouraging turn of events. (Rice and TCU don't have this problem.) Discuss.

Oh.... Thanks.

Just thought it was a unique situation and one we need to address -quickly. Any other D-I program in the country seeing its home town turned into a Football Romper Room for teams from other cities?

Anybody for raising a little hell about the status quo? ...... Never mind.

A score of ineptitude does that. A generation has been born which did not know that SMU was once a team that played the likes of UT, A&M, Ark. competitively. At this point our only choice is to hit the ball where it lies and do the things necessary (short of cheating again) to win. We may win, we may not. If JJ can't right this ship, then I don't know who can.

Orsini needs to sign ND to a long-term deal and play 'em at Jerry World or the Cotton Bowl.

Get in the game. They're coming over the walls.

It took us 20+ years to finally/maybe address our Model.

This problem will need to be addressed by a future generation.

I was thinking the same thing. Just didn't want to interrupt his whining session.

We would rather play SFA and enjoy the Vard. Isn't that why we dropped Mizzou?????

Missouri dropped us so they could have enough home games to annually play the Kansas / Missouri Game in Kansas City.

How does one define cheating? Is a cartel of the BCS cheating? Is excluding of conferences and teams from the bowl system cheating? Hmmm?

I see your point and agree. It's a shame that SMU's sports product can't lure the Dallasites. We're starting to sound like the old Brooklyn Dodgers who said after every poor season "What till next year". Except they did have a very loyal following in spite of their record. Well at least until the 'bums' moved to LA.
