I watched him last year closely at seven practices, all of the games.
Had a chance to meet both of his parents. (Very Nice People)

Listened to a lot of different sides to the puzzle.
Input: the complexity of the offensive game plan, receivers maintaining the correct reads, holding on to the ball, the QB able to think fast and make accurate throws, the O- Line.

The biggest question going into the season for me was going to be the Offensive line, and I actually thought they exceeded anyone’s expectations. Of coarse the defense struggled all year but did have signs of hope…

The bottom line for me is I like to look a college QB in the eyes or up to him not down to him at 6â€

JOnes offense runs fine with smaller QBs because it is out of the shotgun.

I am not convinced that he IS the guy, but I will say that I have seen him make all of the throws. Not consistantly, but the arm strength and accuracy are there.

I don't think anyone can say that he ISN'T the guy, because he played one season as a true frosh in a complex system. But, I think we will find that out this season.

Yes, he is the guy and will improve. The whole offense was learning a new system. The whole offense will improve together. It was tough on the qb last year when our run game was a non-factor.

We've had 2 non-losing seasons here since 1989, and I've seen every season. For any former player in this era to rip others and think they won't do the job leaves a lot to be desired.

I have been as [deleted] BLM as anyone. Throwing passes to opponents’ Defensive lineman just 10 feet away (not once but twice) really bothers me.

That said, it is not fair to evaluate BLM in his first (and freshman) year with a new complex offense. One has to take into account the other complexities that encompass the entire offense.

We have had freshmen QBs in the pass that have been far less successful than BLM. And we have had offensive lines that were not up to the challenge. Throw in the fact that we have receivers that made mistakes (how many wide open sure TD passes did we drop this last season?) and a nonexistent running game and suddenly the mistakes made by BLM are magnified. We tend to look at all the negatives but this kid did make some good reads and throw some accurate passes.

I am willing to wait another year to see how he does. It is improvement (not just for BLM) of the entire offense that will be the benchmark of success.

Now for the meat of the matter. All the Heisman like performances of every single offensive player isn't worth spit if our Defense doesn't drastically improve and stop the other teams’ offenses!!!!!
