Deleted threads

I regret to announce that I was forced to remove two threads that were the sources of considerable debate and discussion Thursday. The reason they were removed was because the tone of the posts in each thread had deteriorated to name-calling between a few posters, including some who (late at night/Friday morning) chose to use language that is not tolerated on this board.
This board is for discussion of SMU athletics, and other topics that have a bearing on SMU athletics (i.e. realignment of conferences, etc.) There are many forums out there for non-sports discussion, and we encourage everyone to use them to make their opinions known. The removal of these topics was not about censorship or disagreement with anyone's opinion. But the language a couple of late-night posters chose to use, coupled with the name-calling that appeared through various stages of the threads, required the removal of the aforementioned thread.
