[b] While I have read the "No Awards Banquet for 08 Team" it came to mind just how many of you remember these guys.
Will Bonella-Sr. LB -3L
Vincent Chase Sr- TE-2L-OL-1L total #3L
Serge Elizee - Sr-DT- 1L
Andrew Galloway Sr. P-1L
David Haynes Sr-DB-3L
Jessie Henderson Sr-WR-3L
Patrick Henry-Sr.-DL-3L
La'Cori Johnson Sr-WR-2L
Sean Lobo-Sr.-OL-2 L
DeMyron Martin Sr-RB-3L
Andrew McKinney Sr-RB-3L
Thomas Morstead Sr. P/K- 2L
Tommy Poynter Sr. OL-2L
I would think that these guys paid their dues. They deserve to be treated with respect. 6 of whom were with team 4 to 5 yrs. most under 2 coaching staffs. They worked hard and stuck it out, wanting to have a winning team. These were not the ones that acted out, laughing after lossing a game.

I think Bonilla and Lobo were walk-ons
Anyone else?
And yes. Have to give these guys credit. They tried hard till the end even though they were probably so sick of losing

I count 11

Either way, your point is well taken.

So?
Seriously, why is that relevant? Why is it relevant if Bonilla was once a walk-on? The point of the original post was that some of the guys who we now seem to want to forget actually deserve a bit of recognition for their effort and dedication. (paraphrasing for Mimi, and please correct me if I'm wrong). I dont understand why some of you seem to feel they were less of a player because they started as walk-ons, isnt what they did here once they were on the field more important than how they got here to begin with?

I was just adding on to SMU21TCU10's Lobo/Bonilla comment. Morstead's a nice guy, what the hell are you getting all riled up for...Nobody said they're less of a player because they're walk-ons...Honestly, if anything I admire them for working that much harder to get a scholarship.
