ive been on this web site for about year now just reading comments and interesting posts so i finally decided to make a user name and put in my 2 cents. im extremely excited about the future of smu football!! i went to a couple games last year and i think the underclassmen that played last year willl bting us to be a contender for CUSA championship in 2 years. i know thats a bold statement but we barely lost 4 games last year that will be victories in the upcoming years. smu landed a great coach that knows how to turn a sorry team around and he started with a young QB in bo levi mitchell who looks promissing. i saw him in a rerun of the texas 5a state game and saw the great potential he has when he knows the system hes commanding. we have a future NFL reciever in sanders that should have a blow out season in 09 if we can get our defense to start coming together to well be a hard team to beat so get excited about the future success of SMU FOOTBALL!!!

and we are still undefeated going in to spring ball

this is a great time of year for SMU football

and it WILL get better

I will get excited when there is something to be excited about. I refuse to get my hopes up only to have them dashed again. I want some wins on the field.

who cares - we need all the fans we can get

SMU is generating momentum in recruiting right now that is unprecedented in the last 20 years ... let the gloom and doomers say what they will, this WILL translate into victories. Only time will tell how soon it happens, but things are looking up for our Ponies right now. Welcome to the board, new era.

Welcome to the board. Yes good things are ahead for SMU and I'm very encouraged by the caliber of kids we were able to sign in this last recruiting class.

no i havent been a fan for the last 20 years but hopefully i will be a fan for the next 20 years. all the negative fans just need to stop posting on here. ok everyone knows that smu footballball has been nonexistent for the last 20 years but its over with and its going to get back to where it was and it starts with positive fans
