Honoring LeVias' #23

They are going to choose a deserving student-athlete to wear LeVias' #23 during the season. So will a different kid get chosen every single year to wear #23 or do you get to keep the # for 4 yrs if you earn it as a freshman?

I dont get it? is this going to be like the #12 worn at A&M for a hard working walkon or is it going to the best player on the team. If it is going to the best player of the team it doesnt make sense. Say Bo Levi becomes a great player and wears #23 then how will we remeber him? He wont have a jersey to retire. :(

Maybe, we'll just beat A&M in a game TBD :!:
Like JERRY did in the 66 game :!:

See ABOVE LEVIAS RUNBACK PICTURES FROM 66 CHAMPIONSHIP year.

A$M was the victom 21-14.

IMO, players who work hard in practice each week should be rewarded by wearing #23 in each game...for one game only. Sort of like Ricky Williams wearing #37 in his final college game (Cotton Bowl) to honor Doak Walker, who I believe had recently passed.

Watch for Justin Willis to be wearing #23. I think his attitude has done a 180 from when he was starting QB and he has become a leader on this team.

Good point, I have been impressed with the way Justin has handled things.

I too have been impressed by Willis's reaction, but is he going to even get any PT? I think it'll go to someone who sees the field.

I do not, thus my thoughts about it being Willis. I think it will be used as a symbol of a team leader rather than someone that will be compared talent wise. If they go with an on field performer I would have to agree with Sanders.
