Aggies reacting to Jones' ticket prices for A&M/ Arkansas game.
These prices are absolutely ridiculous. The most telling post I thought was this one:

The economics of the thing are mind-boggling:
4 Tickets: $500.00
TMF "Donation": $700.00
Parking: $38.00
10% Arlington Tax: $50.00
Food/beer/beverages: $100.00

Total cost: $1388.00 ??

The student tickets alone are $50.00 each. Premium seats are $300.00 each. Upper corner end zone are a steal at $85.00 each.

Ha ha....what did people think Jerry Jones was going to do with ticket prices to "JerryWorld". The state of Texas will be having to pay up for the forseeable future to satisfy this man's ego.

I though I read the ticket prices were set by the University, not Jerry.

The Moral Issue is: What would jtstang.com do?

JT would wait for Mrydel to buy his tickets and then poach one of them.

They talked about this on the radio yesterday. According to someone they had on, the Aggie/Hawg game will cost more for the ticket-buy public than the Cotton Bowl Classic that will be played there. Weird.

They will sell out the game I am sure, but my god, those prices are absolutely ridiculous. They have set up that stadium to where the common fan will never be able to afford to go to an event there. On top of that they are making my life hell with all the construction around my house.

I suppose the least expensive way to see the inside of that place is by attending a high school game. If Jerry tries to rip the preps, they will line up for Ford, Amon Carter, Cotton Bowl - however, a full house at a Pennington, Farrington, Birdville, Clark (FW or Plano) - with $0-$5 parking and $10 tickets - might be preferred. Puts quite a bit more cash in the athletic/student activity fund.

That is correct. You can blame Arkansas and A&M for the prices, not Jerry. The OU/BYU game there next year will be half the price of the Ark/A&M tickets which was also decided by the schools.

What about $ 38 parking; is that decided by the schools ?

Does anyone else remember when Jerry put up his own money to try and pesuade voters in Irving to defeat a proposed DART plan involving the city ? Now, why would he have done that ???
