I heard ticket prices are coming down for 2009 season...

Postby Blue Horseshoe » Wed Mar 25, 2009 11:51 pm

After a long awaited announcement, I heard that SMU has finally come to their senses and will announce the new ticket pricing for the 2009 season. Apparently, after all the Dallas area pro sports teams slashed their prices plus the multiple announcements from Jerry world of all the other Big 12 and SEC teams coming to town, SMU figured that the only way to compete was to lower ticket prices before they started collecting for season tickets.

Does anyone know by how much? I heard it could be as much as 60% lower than last year's prices.

What tickets are you talking about. Season football ticket invoices went out in late February and many have been paid.

I bet ticket prices don't drop a dime, because of the belief that dropping ticket prices and giving away free tickets "devalues" the tickets.

I don't mind the current prices but maybe they should look at reimbursing a pro rata amount for each game we lose

Season ticket prices, at least mine, stayed the same.

Boulevard prices went up again.

Despite two wins in two years, they continue to gouge the suckers...i mean, the loyal season ticket holders.

Nah, I was right the first time. We ARE suckers!

Depending on where you sit. Last year in 104 the Mustang club donation was $50.00 per seat. This year there $100.00 per seat ,sounds like double to me. And yes they are payed for allready. I don't mind and love the seats.

wouldn't it be great if every sports team did this. It would force a guy like Tom Hicks to spend a little money.
