Looks like the Frogs have avoided the Thursday game situation.

Big deal its on Mtn. Will reach about 19,000 and a few sheep. And yes TCU avoided Thursday games since they gave up appearing on ESPN for any home games by joining the MWC.

And how many SMU games will be televised on ESPN in 2009?

Other than the TCU game it appears that the Ponies have only

one other TV game (Houston) on their entire 2009 schedule.

Surely, that's a mistake. :?

Not a mistake. When you are coming off of 1-11 two years in a row, not a lot of demand for TV coverage. However with TCU's record you would think that ESPN would be knocking down the door.

Well Troll, SMU has been on ESPN four times in the last two years despite sucking and had poor audiences averaging like 1.5 Million television sets. TCU appeared on CSTV and drew 19,000 viewers nationally. Boy that's something to brag about there. Mtn. is carried on the premium service on Directv and its carried as a premium add on for some cable systems east of the Rockies. It might be carried as non-premium on some cable systems in the Rockie Mountain viewing area. That does not help viewership which is what players want.

Since the MWC has a deal with CSTV and not ESPN, they can beat on that door all they want. I love the coverage the Frogs are getting now- between Versus, CSTV and the Mtn. - we have had all but one or two games telivised. Which I think is a great deal.

SMU is still a big draw on national television since it is such a well-known and historic program. I know lots of people throughout the country who have no affiliation to SMU who always make it a point to watch the Mustangs when they are on ESPN or ESPN2.

I can only imagine the television draw we will be when we are in the Top 25 again in a year or so.

You've got my political leanings wrong, Troll. I'm independent, though more libertarian than anything.

That doesn't change the fact that the only thing you do on these boards is deride SMU every chance you get, and when you don't, you sing TCU's praises from the highest rafters, even when you have no basis to do so.

Then you go on the Conference USA board (under the name Southern Nights) and deride all of CUSA, while at the same time singing the praises of the MWC. I apologize if Southern Nights is not you; however, the post style (double-spacing) is eerily similar.

In all the time that I have been on PonyFans and on CUSAbbs, I have never once seen you make a post that has legitimately added to the conversation. That is the DEFINITION of trolling.
