...or can we at least temper-if only a little bit-the talk of how "the guys are in the shape of their lives" etc etc? It's spring practice, no pads, and while I'm as supportive as the next guy, we still suck. We hear how our boys are in the shape of their lives every....single....spring. Goes right along with the tales of the incredible pickup games our bball guys are having before practice starts.
Not trying to be negative. But let's be practical.

how bout "well yeah right now everyone is 0-0. But what I'm concerned about right now is 1 win in 22 games against a D1 opponent, and that one w came against about the only program with farther the go than did we. We have a lot of work to do, and regardless of what we accomplish during these the flag football days of spring we're still 1 and something against D1 competition. That, to me sounds like a dog [blank] football team until we prove otherwise."
I know I know that's not JJ's style and I appreciate that. Messing right back at ya OTP. Where did you park this morning? Across the street and walk over? Or ticket office?
