It says they think he's a backup at best? This is probably also why they didn't draft him until the 6th round last year?

Jason is still developing, doesn't have the tempo yet for the WCO.

Collins is a veteran in the Saunders system, a backup, overpaid and doesn't have the tempo/accuracy for the WCO.

Colt has the accuracy and tempo for the WCO, but will abort Zorn's scripted play if an open guy becomes available.

Jason can be the starter long term if he continues to improve this year. Collins needs to go, Colt and Chase are cheaper over the long run and competition is always a good thing.

jason could be gone next year...

Just curious why you're ragging on Colt Brennan here.

He was a former walk-on at Colorado who was turned into a back-up NFL qb under June Jones' tutelage. USC has taken a string a blue chip, marquee qb's and has turned them into NFL busts in the making.
