2009 sleepers

So we know who the likely main cogs are for the upcoming season. We know Bo Levi Mitchell is the starting QB, we know Aldrick Robinson and Emmanuel Sanders are the main WRs, we know the likely starting five on the OL, we know Taylor Thompson, Pete Fleps, Bryan McCann, Chris Banjo and Derrius Bell are going to be counted on heavily on defense. But who do you see emerging from the 2008 reserves and redshirts to play key roles? My candidates:

WR A'Darius Medford: good quickness, and coaches liked his potential before he got hurt last year. Good hands, seemed to have his quickness back during spring ball.

DE Margus Hunt: popular choice, and admittedly with loads to learn, but his athleticism and crazy athletic ability will allow him to make plays.

LB Patrick Fleming: big, fast, long arms, very good overall athlete. Youri Yenga will get a lot of attention for his move from DE to OLB, but Fleming will make an impact, too.

RB Zach Line: won't get a lot of carries in this offense, but the kid is exceptionally strong. He'll get occasional carries and will play a part in Chris Butler having a decent year with his blocking.

In my opinion Terrance Wilkerson is a sleeper he had a great spring game and will make a dynamic trio of Wide Outs.

if he doesn't get injured, LB Chase Kennemer will lead the team in tackles.

Good post for this time of year. I have several picks that will impact this year.

RB - Shawnbrey McNeal (he'll get his academics straightened out)
WR - Cole Loftin and Cole Beasley
WR - Justin Willis
WR - Terrance Wilkerson
WR - Bradley Haynes
WR - Darrius Johnson
DE - Marquis Frazier
DE - Margus Hunt
SS - James Scott
CB - Robert Mojica

I think this incoming class has the potential to take over several positions so expect fall practice to be fun and a war.

Blvd. Fan — does Willis really qualify as a sleeper? I would say he has played too much to fall into that category.

Mine: EJ Drewery, Sidney Nwangwu, Pat Fleming

The secondary is not going to be the problem. The front seven is going to be the problem and that will make the secondary look worse than it is.

I see a number of great sleepers. Does anyone know the status of grayshirt Robert Parker, a three star out of high school? Apparently has the tools but maybe too small for LB

at 5'11" 270. I cant see him at DE!

And keith robinson and Chris banjo will be awesome!

I think a a new receiver will step up and give us a major 3rd threat in the receiving corps.

One of the JJ recruited O-linemen will also be awesome. Just dont know who.

None of the RB's should be classified as possible sleepers...
