Okay, Pony fans. I'm a Houston fan, so you don't like me and I don't like you. I get the drill.
But me and two of my friends write a blog about college football, UH sports and just any sports topic that catches our interest. One of the things we're doing is ranking and profiling all 120 Division 1-FBS teams.
Here's the
SMU Preview and a look at two other teams.
Let me know if I got anything wrong or there's anything we omitted. Thanks.
,Sam

I just glanced at it, but, here are a few things. Fleps is a LB, not LB/DE.
Yenga is a OLB. Blake McJunkin was the starting center after the spring workouts. And it's Ponies, not Ponys'.

Fixed.
Where is Enright playing then if McJunkin is the starting center?
Also, I thought I remembered Fleps playing some DE. Clearly I was mistaken.

Can you find the real Mustang logo? That 'roided-out abomination is not what's on the helmets and never has been.
I bet one of our experts can shoot you the real thing....

Gotcha.
Honestly I only used that thing because I hate using gifs (see: the Wyoming logo) and I couldn't find another quality one. Although I'll change it if anyone can supply me with the link to a better one.

It's really not a bad preview, Sarcoog.
See you on NCAAbbs.

The 3-5 win total this year is pretty much dead on in my opinion. I think we're about a 4-8 ballclub.

Looks about right. Unless there are some huge shockers (something not seen at SMU in two decades) we will improve but not be a bowl team.
The key will be defense. We can score, we just have to stop some folks from scoring more.

Not bad...I agree with most of it, but I think we win 6-7 this season. The Coog's better not take us for granted like you did last year. We were one first down away from an upset.

Agreed.
I'd say the team definitely took SMU for granted and came as close as one possibly could to losing.
If SMU improves with the R&S like I think they will, stopping them will be a huge issue for our defense.
I know the running game isn't important to the R&S, but will the miami transfer help in 2010?

Nothing wrong with optimism, or realism for that matter. Or hope. Just no expectations.
