He sat out Thursday's practice at the Cowboys third Organized Team Activity (OTA). After practice, he said it was tendonitis in his knee, but said he considers it "minor" and expects to take part when the team returns to work next week.

My thoughts too, Justin can't afford to miss any time on the field.

His days are almost over in the NFL. Won't make it past pre season this year.
He was terrible last year on special teams.
His only job was to cover on kickoffs as well as to protect on punts and he failed big time.

Sounds like Justin either beat TheBestAvailable out for a starting job or a girlfriend during their college years.
Show some love for one of our extremely few NFL players.
Justin will find work regardless what happens. If he doesn't, well, he can take some time and be selective about his next career path.

I disagree. I watched him on almost every play and on almost all of them he was right where he was supposed to be. On coverage he rarely got blocked and he filled his lane. Now there may be better LB's that they choose to keep, but I don't think he will loose his job because of his special teams play.

Count me in the "disagree" camp, also. Justin is the only Cowboy I pay attention to, because he's ours, and because I hate the team. But when they're on, I pay attention. He took on a lot of blockers that allowed others to make plays, and made some himself, too. More than that, I've heard the coaches love his work ethic and his performance. If he doesn't stick this year, it's because they drafted a bunch of OLBs and either hit on some picks or keep them to justify their draft. Either way, our man Rogers will have a job - he can play, and NFL coaches know it.

First off, I hope JR succeeds with the cowboys or whatever team realizes his passion for football. But regardless of his nfl career, I will always hold him in the highest regards. I met JR recently, and I have not met a better man. He is respectful, humble, and just a good person overall. I can tell he will always support SMU, and I can't think of a better representative. We are lucky to have our name attached to a guy like JR.

Yikes!
I too hope Justin plays in the NFL until he chooses to leave the game.
He was great as a mustang and I hope he beats out anyone competing for his spot on the cowboys roster.
Sorry Mr. Rogers. I wish Justin continued success this season as a Dallas Cowboy.
