Heritage Hall Announcement
Posted: Mon Jun 22, 2009 9:53 amI wanted everyone to know that the Hall of Fame Banquet DVD's are now ready. It was quite an evening and the acceptance speeches were truly great. This is something that I believe you will watch over and over just to hear Eric Dickerson. The DVD's are $25.00 each and can be ordered by going to www.athletichistory.com and look under DVD Gallery and you will see the link to click on.
Also, we now have almost a thousand negatives from Laughead/Bradley on the website that are available for purchase as pictures. They are listed in the order they were given to us and with the original wording on the envelopes to identify to identify the negatives. For those interested you can email me at [email protected] and I will tell you exactly what the negative shows. Some of the negatives go back to the early 1940's. This is truly a priceless collection so please tell your friends about it. The link to see the list is also on our home page. Just go down to Picture Gallery and you will see the link.
Thanks to the generosity of Brad Bradley we are also able to now offer pictures from any of the SMU events where Brad took the pictures. We have a bunch of the events up and we will be adding more. Please go to the bottom of the home page and you will see a picture of Brad, Doak Walker, and Jim Laughead. Click on the picture and a list of the events will come up. This is also a truly amazing collection.
We have added over 100 new pictures to the website in the last few weeks so if you have looked recently you should.
Last Friday we received about 75 pictures from Cully Culwell. Starting in the 1940's Cully Culwell Sr. would host a party for the football team at his ranch after the season was over. All I can say is that this is also a remarkable collection. We will scan and get them up in the next couple of weeks.
Early next week I will also be posting a list of excess programs and DVD's that we would like to get rid of. The DVD's will be $10.00 each and the programs will be priced according to age.
Heritage Hall has a new case delivered and we will be filling it with memorabilia in the next few weeks and I will advise when it is completed.
