Very interesting article. I am hit over the head with it every morning when i open the sports page of the DMN.

My Longhorn wife was shocked to learn yesterday that the finals of the CWS are currently happening. She told me that she's not a fan of the athletic programs so much as a "fan of the school," whatever the hell that means. She does not represent the demand to which I refer. Far from it.
