Was the MWC proposal to change the BCS a good idea or a bad idea for C-USA members?

Once a playoff system gets started, its like putting the camel's nose into the tent. At first its 8 teams, and then its 12, then its 16, which is why the BCS has no desire to go there because once it grows to 16 teams, you have to share it across the board.

Any system that allows a national championsip without the involvement and sanctioning of the NCAA is bad for Conference USA.

Who was the last CUSA team to beat a team of the caliber of Texas, OU, Florida, LSU, USC, etc, etc in football? Outside of Mempis, which CUSA team has shown that it can make it past the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament in mens hoops?

ECU beat some pretty good teams to start last season.

I think it was West Virginia and Virginia Tech in their first two games.

Correct, they beat two Top 10 teams their first two games last year, and vaulted from unranked to like 12 or 13 in two weeks. Unfortunately, they then started losing to teams OOC that they should have beat.
They did recover and win the conference but they didn't really sniff the top 25 again.

ECU lost to NC State and UVA. If they had pulled off those wins, they might have gone to a BCS bowl. Marshall got jobbed out of a victory against K- State about 3 years ago. Tulsa held its own against OU about three years ago and lost in the last possession.
