SMU vs. TCU tickets go on sale August 1st. I hope we have as many people show up as they do when they play us. What about any pre-game festivities?

We always head to Joe T's and sit out by the pool for a post-game meal and margarita.

it's nice to dream about, but one thing I don't think we'll ever hear at a road game is "damn, there are a LOT of SMU fans here."

I used to think there was every possibility SMU could have 5, 6, 7k at least in Ft Worth for the TCU game, but more often than not we get there and I think "that's it?"

By comparison, we play TCU at Ford and there's a damn TCU flag in front of one of the houses on Mockingbird, purple everywhere, etc.

I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout @ Rice last year.

1500-2000 on a good day is what I would expect in Ft Worth

This year we will at least give them a game. If the Samoan gods are kind to us, who knows.

When was the last time you weren't drowining your sorrows in a margarita "post game' at Joe T's when we play over there??

Probably about the same time as the last time you wrote anything complimentary of SMU. Even Stallion has had more nice things to say than you have.

Now, PonySnob, I'm pretty sure you're a TCU fan, but you might be a UNT fan. I could care less either way, but I know you aren't an SMU fan. Stop masquerading as one.

i don't see SMU giving TCU much of a game in Ft. Worth this year. I don't see much evidence that SMU is catching up to TCU-I see more evidence that TCU is solidifying its program as a Top 25 caliber program. If anything the hill might have gotten harder to climb based on recent TCU recruiting. In fact, I think Jones may be hard pressed to give TCU a good game before his contract runs out based simply on the different caliber of recruits the two schools are getting.

I don't see that much difference in the caliber of the two schools recruits the last two classes.

Can't believe you would admit this, but, I'm glad that you did. Case is closed, on why anyone would ever care, about your opinions on SMU football.

i think we will give them a game in 2010 - not because we have stayed with them recruiting (we havent) but because I think we match up pretty well vs them at home when JJ has his offense finally in gear.

The gap has never been wider in talent then the last time we beat them a couple yrs ago in Dallas.
